Scheduling Mercury and Venus ~ 14 November 2011

To celebrate Mars in Virgo opposite Chiron in Pisces and its call to patch tires, adjust auras and clear chakras, other personal planets offer unique support in the next days. In the past hours Venus has been a busy supporting planet. Not only has she matched locations with the lunar node and Mercury, she is in a virtual conjunction with the centaurs Pholus and Hylonome as well as the dwarf planet candidate Ixion for this entire week. Add to the mix the fact that she aligns with the enormous and enigmatic Great Attractor, and is being impacted by a Coronal Mass Ejection that recently left the Sun, it’s clear she’s a busy planet and prepared to share her insights and attributes.

Mind you, Mercury is in this mix, too as he slows, coming up to his retracing of steps in a retrograde cycle between November 24th and December 14th. He adds his mental flint, sparking ideas that promote strong reactions that declare interests, define attachments and offer assessment of what one values.

Again, for all intents and purposes, both of these personal planets make direct alignment with this multiplex of astrologically significant bodies all week. So, one by one, let’s examine the combined Mercury-Venus pushes on each of these objects as they work to support the Mars-Chiron agenda of soothing the soul and redefining personal worthiness.

Mercury and Venus to the lunar node: Declare an important mission statement. This should be something that you believe in now and will believe in next year and the year beyond. Make the declaration resonate in such a way that it activates talents and skills that may not be used on an everyday basis, but yearn for greater participation in your life. Yes, it might be time to dust off the water colors to design a poster and/or get out the guitar and kazoo to whip up some theme songs to make the mission clear.

Mercury and Venus to Pholus: Make everything you do a celebratory experience. Toast or affirm with well-intended declaration even the most routine activities. In this way, every deed becomes purposeful and a tool of propitiation. Work to maintain a clear head, especially when pursuing your greatest passions.

Mercury and Venus to Hylonome: This pattern can be surprising. An event or situation completely unrelated to your life may trigger an emotional outpouring for no apparent reason or relationship to your life. Should this occur, let it rip. Emote, cry, purge those feelings. Hylonome clears feelings of loss, grief and to a lesser degree, regret. Once these feelings clear, enthusiasm for life brightens and the willingness to take bigger steps on the road ahead replaces caution and tentativeness. For those in the United States, watch the interview with Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly, tonight on network TV. This interview is actually a perfect Venus to Pholus and Hylonome manifestation. If you read this post after the broadcast or live in another country, stream it online. Or, watch one of your favorite emotionally evocative movies. Either way the objective is to use emotionally impacting events not directly related to your life to jar recesses of consciousness that require some shaking loose.

Mercury and Venus to Ixion: Despite being less than an admirable character, Zeus/Jupiter granted Ixion a second chance for redemption. Take the second chance granted Ixion and stop following his story there (he blew his second chance). When given a second chance, correct what you did or didn’t do before that failed to serve your greatest life objectives. Any regrets for action or inaction should be easier to find if the clearing work intended by the transits to Hylonome is conducted. With the ache from any sense of inadequacy, lack of accomplishment, sagging motivation or eroded inspiration cleared, reassume the path you once sought as your greatest objective. Motivational sorts declare it’s never too late unless you quit. Resetting aspiration and following it with inspired action is the antidote. If you moved away from the geographic hub that supports the industry you always wanted to pursue, examine if there’s a way of working in that industry now, at a distance, courtesy of the advancements in technology. Recover that chance that you once perceived to be fleeting and direct an armada of energy into it. If you do, what a gift you may give yourself on the verge of the holiday season.

Mercury and Venus to the Great Attractor: Examine your plumage. Are all your feathers in place and are they as bright as they need to be? Here, the effort is to make yourself diverse, objective, far-reaching, comprehensive, potent, magnetic and influential, and willing to accept the nucleus/leading role of any activity you pursue. Imagine that you can broadcast and receive in all spectrums. While you may not agree with a political or theological doctrine, work to understand those who agree with that doctrine. Lead by example, ability and wisdom.

On the 19th, Venus aligns with Quaoar, a dwarf planet that refers to a Native American creation deity who brought into existence all that is through ceremonies of great song and dance. Here’s the question: How’s your own personal song and dance routine going? Do you value the banner you carry? Is your creative voice being applied in a manner that distinguishes your being? If yes, more of the same, please. If no, perhaps it’s time to change tracks of the spirit song that echoes in your head.

All these patterns fabulously support the quest of Mars opposing Chiron, which calls a person to action to do good things to overcome any perceived shortcomings, inadequacies or places where one may feel unrecognized, undeserving or unwanted. While Mars-Chiron explores the mythology one carries about one’s life, the Mercury and Venus passages of the week offer vehicles for redoing the classic story telling one reports about their life. The broken record syndrome can be defeated in such times, especially if the broken record plays a less than inspired song.

There is another interesting point to be made about the Mars-Chiron pattern in play. Chiron is now aligned with the unnamed dwarf planet, nicknamed Snow White (and thus, opposite Mars). Curiously on film industry websites, much of the buzz is about all the Snow White movies, Snow White and the Huntsman, Mirror Mirror. Even the fairy tale based TV series running here in the U. S., Grimm and Once Upon a Time are getting tons of sizzle. How interesting that the collective rallies in response to this planet, though improperly named (the planet is not white like initially assumed; it is red). And what is the point of the collective unconscious response to this planet? The point is to review all the tales and stories heard in one’s youth, grim or otherwise, fairy tale or declaration of one’s nature, that were rendered by others. Subject them to a critical review, deconstruction and reassembly (Mars in Virgo) into a model, metaphor or template that allows clear and healthy identification of one’s goals, talents and attributes and assembles them into a tool kit that serves one’s evolving dharma.

Since we know that individuals and the collective respond to bodies of which they know nothing, such as this planet to be named later, consider that other planets, astrologically applied or otherwise, also wreak their influences.

With the clearing of the passages of the week, perhaps it is time to review the essence of Eris. Figure where you fit or do not fit and aspire to create the perfectly tailored spirit niche for yourself. Locate the nature of Haumea and discover all the skills others declare to be yours that you might be inclined to ignore. Include all attributes available into the package of you. Finally, take some time to observe the potent mundane essence of Makemake. Determine your footprint on Earth and in this lifetime. If you’d like to get some new soles for your soul, this is the planet to propitiate.

Well, here are some details for the very busy Mars in Virgo to sort and prioritize. In no time Venus will reach the Galactic Center (Nov 24, plus or minus where you live on Earth) showering all with tons of insights and ideas. Those with clear heads might respond and apply the galactic inspiration first. There is a cornucopia of consciousness unfolding above in the next days and Mars, in the sign of Virgo, is perfectly equipped to do the harvesting.

More soon, so stay tuned.
